BIRTH DOULA SERVICES

At Ann Arbor Doulas we work for each individual family, rather than for the hospital or birth center. We provide professional, experienced, non-medical pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support to each family as they navigate the path towards the birth of their baby/ies. Most families interview doulas early in their second trimester, however it is almost never too early or too late to establish your relationship with your birth doulas.

  • One 90 minute virtual or in-person meeting, with the option for additional virtual meetings based on circumstances and needs.
  • UNLIMITED text/email support from the time you sign the contract until six weeks postpartum.
  • EVIDENCE-based guidance, including access to our extensive library of resources.
  • Assistance in writing your BIRTH PLAN.
  • 24/7 ON CALL labor support from 36 weeks until baby is born.
  • Phone/text and virtual support during very early labor.
  • Option to choose in home SUPPORT during established early to active labor.
  • Continuous labor support at hospital/birth center/home until two hours after your baby is born.
  • Basic LACTATION and feeding support.
  • One 60-90 minute virtual or in-person POSTPARTUM meeting.
