At Ann Arbor Doulas we want you to feel completely supported in your lactation and feeding journey! Our goal is to guide you, affirm you, and help you tap into your intuition in those crucial early days. We have found that support immediately after birth and several more times within the first week can make the biggest difference in your confidence and milk making!

How we do that is by providing lactation support at the birth center or hospital, as well as the family's home during the first week after the baby's birth. As postpartum professionals, through early intervention, we can help identify and understand common problems in order to prevent and overcome breastfeeding challenges, as well as make referrals when additional support beyond our scope of practice is needed.

  • On-call from 36 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Hospital/birth center/home visit within 24 hours of the birth of your baby (4 hours).
  • Visit within 24 hours of arriving home or 48 hours of the birth of your baby (4 hours).
  • Home visit on day 3 or day 4 of baby's life (4 hours).
  • Home visit on day 5 or day 6 of baby's life (4 hours).
birth doula jodi long review
"Brittany possesses exceptional empathy and interpersonal skills. As first-time parents, we found ourselves facing a daunting new world, and Brittany was there every step of the way with an uplifting word or a gentle reassurance. She has a gift for debunking myths without minimizing our own voices, and it was this kind-hearted approach that made our journey so much easier." -Leydy and Juan

“Whenever and however you intend to give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body and your spirit for the rest of your life.”
