Q: Do I need to take a class?

The more you know, the better prepared and less fearful you will be. Knowledge is power!

Q: When should I take your birthing class?

You can take the class at any time during your pregnancy but the second trimester is a great spot. You are usually still comfortable and have energy, and it will prepare you for your in-person meeting with you birth doula team!

Q: My hospital offers a class. Will that cover what I need to know?

Most hospital classes cover hospital protocol and what the average “managed” birth looks like as opposed to how informed and intuitive birth can be. They also usually do not cover the entire perinatal period. Our classes give a more comprehensive look at all of your options.

Q: Are your classes covered by insurance?

Generally, any childbirth classes are not covered by insurance, but you can check with your FSA or HSA about reimbursement eligibility.

All you need to know in a fun and interactive setting! Our Ann Arbor birthing classes cover childbirth, newborn care, postpartum recovery, feeding support and SO MUCH MORE!

The childbirth education series is offered monthly and includes two evenings (two hours each) in a virtual setting and one full day (five hours) of interactive in-person learning. This blended approach allows for comfortable learning from your home, hands-on practice, and connection with other expecting parents.
