Hello, I am Dawn BrittonHerdt and I love the metamorphosis of pregnancy and babies! New souls coming into this world are miraculous cosmic events blessing all involved with mother and child. As my life's mission is to be of service as a doula, I hope to empower families to have peace and security during this most vulnerable stage of life. I honor the power of the laboring body and I became a birth worker to celebrate and revere love and the circle of life.

Over the years I have experienced many paths to pregnancy and parenthood, from advising mothers with fertility issues, to a woman anxious to successfully deliver her baby vaginally after a C-section; to another contemplating adoption and yet another delivering a stillborn. I am a mother of five, three of which were home births. As a birth worker, I champion birth stories and give my best to help family desires go as planned though with the utmost respect for medical protocol and health safety. I enjoy being that literal shoulder parents can lean upon for support during this most impactful time in life.

I have been a certified Birth, Labor and Postpartum Doula since 2017, with certifications in Breastfeeding, CPR and AED as well. In years past I have registered for volunteer services through the University of Michigan Dial-A-Doula program. My goals are helping expectant families with their best interest at heart while bringing positive energy to birth and labor day celebrations.
